Joseph Androvich
Personal Injury Attorney
Joe Androvich joined what is now Brelsford Androvich after having served over six years as a defense lawyer at two prominent medical malpractice law firms in the Sacramento area. As a defense lawyer, Joe primarily represented hospitals, physicians, nurses, and mid-level healthcare providers through all stages of litigation and trial. Joe then took his medical malpractice expertise with him to Brelsford Androvich, where he now only represents people and patients who have been harmed by others. Joe has expanded his practice, and now represents not only victims of medical malpractice, but also people who have been hurt in car crashes, slip and falls, trip and falls, and other personal injury matters.
Joe has successfully represented clients at Trial and licensing hearings. He tried to verdict a number of civil jury Trials in Sacramento and Butte County, as well as other counties in the surrounding area. He is intimately familiar with all aspects of litigation leading up to and including Trial.
Joe’s family has been in the Sacramento area for four generations. His father is a retired owner of a local business, Brownie’s Blueprint Company, and his mother was one of the first Pediatric Nurse Practitioners in the Sacramento Area. He attended Jesuit High School in Sacramento, where he was a member of the 1999 National Champion Rugby Team, as well as the National Champion runner-up team in 2000.
After Jesuit, Joe went to the University of California Berkeley to pursue his academic and athletic endeavors. At Cal, Joe obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies, with a minor in Art History, graduating with the highest honors (top 10% of his class). He was also a Varsity Letterman on Cal’s National Champion Rugby Team, and was a member of the teams that won the Collegiate National Championship in 2001 and 2002.
After graduating from Cal, Joe obtained his law degree from the University of San Francisco. During law school, Joe began refereeing rugby in Northern California and throughout the United States. He earned the awards of California’s Rookie of the Year and Most Improved Referee in Northern California, and was promoted to the USA Rugby National Panel (Focus Group). While a member of the Focus Group, Joe traveled throughout the United States refereeing the highest level of domestic rugby. Since the birth of his sons, Joe has retired from competitive refereeing.
As part of his commitment to the community, Joe served as the President of the WarmLine Family Resource Center, a local non-profit providing resources and support to families of children with special needs birth to age 22 in Sacramento, Placer, Yolo, El Dorado, Nevada, and Alpine Counties for over 10 years. Joe recently retired his Board seat so he can focus more time on his law practice and family of five.
